Jonathan Ichino
Our Treasurer
Hey everyone i'm Jonathan Ichino and I’m a general member of CSULB CKI. Kidding kidding, i'm currently serving as your 2018-2019 treasurer of CKI. I'm a third year math major and my hobbies are basketball, video games, anime, eating a lot of food , travelling and a lot of other things that I don't end up doing because i'm too busy. |
What made you decide to run for Treasurer
I know that I wanted to do board because I’ve never had a leadership position before in CKI. And I thought that treasurer was something that was most suited for me. It was a position that can help me the most in learning because of my math major. Anyways I've been wanting to do something for the club because I really did enjoy it and really appreciated it. So this is kinda my way of giving back to the club. And even if I didn’t get Treasurer I would’ve ran for Aboard instead So I can still give back.
Why did you join cki in first place
One of my friends convinced me to join because he was the LTG of Kiwanis in high school. While I on the other hand didn’t know anything about Circle K because I never got involved in Key Club because i thought it was lame. Not surprisingly when I first got involved in CKI I thought it was really sketchy, but I still went with him to the meetings to support. In the end I surprisingly had a lot of fun. The members like Ethan and Nich were both really friendly and gave a really friendly atmosphere. And volunteering to help the community was a lot of fun too.
What is your favorite district/division event and why?
Favorite Division event has to be Metro Trainer. Even though the first time I went I wasn't very interested in doing board. Also EDUARDO tricked me into going because he said it would be fun but he LIED. Even though in the end it was actually fun, it was the first time that I was able to meet the division. Even though I wasn’t really outgoing I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the fun workshops. Going to Metro Trainer really opened me up to doing board because it teaches about the different board positions and how they aren't so intimidating once you know them.
Why are barns red
You know how the matadors scare the bulls with the red cloths and mess with them. So farmers paint the barn reds so when the bulls run away they come back and get mad at the barn. That way they charge into it and get their horns stuck into the barn so the farmers can find them after.
